Our Rents

BHC rents are based on a discounted market rent and as such are dependent on the type of home and its suburban location. As an example of our affordable housing, a one-bedroom unit in inner city Brisbane might be a discounted rent of $210 per week units in outer suburb locations may be in the order of  $165 per week.

Whilst boarding rooms are in line with rent for similar accommodation, our self contained units and townhouses are offered at up to 74.9% of market rent, making it more affordable for the low income earner.  Many of our tenants are also eligible for Commonwealth Rental Assistance, which enhances the affordability of our homes.

For our NRAS homes, the rents are set at up to 80% of the market rent and are determined on a property by property basis. Once you have been approved by the State Government to be eligible for NRAS, you can look at what NRAS properties are available across Queensland (not all will be provided by BHC) on http://www.environment.gov.au/housing/nras/requirements.html#pt The properties available for rent are also advertised on www.realestate.com.au.
