About Us

BHC is an independent, not-for-profit organisation providing affordable rental housing and market for sale product throughout Brisbane. Since the incorporation of the organisation in July 2002, we have developed a housing portfolio in excess of 1000 units in prime Brisbane locations.  BHC has pioneered the incorporation of subsidised housing and market for sale product into mixed tenure developments within Queensland. 

We pride ourselves on the quality and liveability of our developments, and aim to provide excellence in both the development of each project and the management of the affordable rental component of the developments.  To read more about our Company Philosophy click here.  BHC has also recently embarked on the development of National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) properties aimed at housing key workers and available for sale to private investors. 

BHC is governed by an experienced skill based Board of Directors, chaired by Professor John McAuliffe AM and the staff team is lead by CEO David Cant. We work in close partnership with local communities, service providers, charities and government to provide developments that incorporate secure and affordable housing in the city of Brisbane.
